The 20 Mil EPU System is an affordable thin-film system that consists of one primer coat of 100% solids epoxy, followed by a build coat of epoxy and a final top coat of aliphatic urethane.  The urethane provides added gloss retention, UV stabilization, and chemical resistance.  This thin-film system is applied over mechanically scarified surfaces (using shot-blast machines, or planetary grinders ) and in some cases can be applied over properly cleaned and sanded existing coatings. These are pigmented systems, and can have a smooth gloss finish, or non-skid textures can be achieved using aluminum oxide aggregates of various sizes.
